Healthcare Recruiter

Remote (Canada & USA), Canada & USA

About HeadHunting Inc.

HeadHunting Inc. is a privately owned, women-led healthcare staffing firm with over 15 years of experience placing RNs, RPNs, LPNs, and PSWs across Long-Term Care, Retirement Residences, Hospitals, and Community Health settings in Canada and the US. We are known for filling last-minute shifts, building lasting relationships, and delivering staffing solutions that keep patients safe.

Build Careers. Change Lives. Grow Yours.

Are you a driven, competitive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment where your effort directly translates into success? HeadHunting Inc. is growing — and we're looking for a high-performing Healthcare Recruiter to join our team, supporting clients and candidates across both Canada and the United States.

This is a full-cycle, sales-driven recruiting role. Every call, conversation, and placement you make directly impacts patient care across two countries. This isn't just recruiting — it's recruiting with purpose.

Please note: This is a sales-driven recruiting role, not a Human Resources position. Success is measured by your ability to source, engage, recruit, and place healthcare professionals while building long-term relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full recruitment cycle — sourcing, qualifying, closing, and offer negotiation for RNs, LPNs, RPNs, and allied health professionals across Canada and the US

  • Make 60–100+ outbound calls per day to source and close candidates through calls, texts, job boards, social media, and referrals

  • Build and manage a high-volume pipeline of candidates, handling multiple offers, competing priorities, and fall-offs simultaneously

  • Close passive candidates, overcome objections, and navigate difficult conversations around pay, relocation, and counteroffers

  • Verify credentials, licensure (Province, state nursing boards, etc.), references, and pre-hire requirements with precision

  • Partner with sales, onboarding, and client teams to ensure seamless placements

  • Champion retention — stay connected with placed clinicians, extend contracts, and reassign top talent to new opportunities

  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly metrics set by leadership

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record of hitting metrics — in recruiting, sales, customer service, or any role where drive produced results

  • Competitive, money-motivated mindset with uncapped earning ambition

  • Thick skin, strong communication skills, and comfort handling high-volume rejection

  • Knowledge of Canadian and US healthcare licensing requirements is a strong asset

  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills

  • Tech-savvy — comfortable working across multiple platforms, CRMs, and digital tools daily

  • Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability

  • Open to coaching and continuous improvement

Bonus Points For:

  • 2+ year of healthcare recruiting or staffing industry experience

  • Experience recruiting Travel Nurses

  • Experience recruiting for MSP/VMS healthcare contracts

  • Knowledge of medical terminology or clinical roles (RN, LPN, RPN, PSW, allied health)

  • Phone-based sales or inside sales experience

  • Familiarity with Canadian provincial licensing bodies and / or  US state licensing requirements and Compact Nursing Licenses

What Success Looks Like

  • Uncapped earning potential — your effort directly controls your income

  • Tools and technology built to support recruiter productivity

  • A high-energy, team-first culture where wins are celebrated and growth is rewarded

  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in healthcare — across two countries

  • Build a strong candidate pipeline

  • Meet or exceed recruiting KPIs

  • Successfully fill client requisitions

  • Maintain high candidate satisfaction

  • Generate repeat placements and redeployments

  • Build long-term relationships with healthcare professionals

Who You Are

You are someone who…

  • Loves talking to people and building relationships.

  • Is motivated by performance and achieving goals.

  • Doesn’t get discouraged by rejection.

  • Takes ownership and follows through.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Wants to build a long-term career in healthcare staffing.

  • Enjoys helping healthcare professionals find meaningful career opportunities.
